Sadness In Iraq
I feel very sad over the bombings in Iraq today.Loss of life is such a horrible tragedy. The Iraqi people are very strong. They have a strong faith in Allah. The Holy Season of Ramadan is fast approaching. I pray Allah will hear their prayers and grant them peace.Iraq has been Blessed with great and strong leaders, who will help them thru this tragic time.Freedom is not free,so many sacrifices are made in order to be free and protect freedom.
Sadness In Iraq
I feel very sad over the bombing that occurred in Iraq today;loss of life is always tragic. One cant help but notice how the Iraqi people pick up and continue their lives immediately. They are very strong. They have been thru so much, they have learned to cope. The Iraqis have a strong belief in Allah ,they always say it"s Allah Will".No matter what tragedy they face, their belief in Allah becomes stronger. They are very good people who deserve freedom and peace in their lives. They have suffered enough. The Holy Season of Ramadan is fast approaching,I pray Allah will hear the prayers of the people of Iraq and give them peace.Allah has Blessed the Iraqi people with good strong leaders. My prayer for Iraq is Peace and a good future with Freedom..Freedom is not Free.

My first trip to the north of Iraq
When I arrived in Baghdad,in August 1976 ;I was very lonely. My husband was always away with his busy schedule.I use to sit in front of my living room window watching the cars go by ;realizing everyone had a life in Iraq but me. About a couple of months later,I made a trip with some of my husband"s friends. We went to the north of Iraq.It was so beautiful, with the trees and green grass, and cool air.I could not believe I was still in Iraq. The Kurdish people were wonderful. They are very beautiful with their light skin and blue eyes. They reflected the beauty of their area.It was so beautiful and so peaceful,no inclination of what was to come.I loved the area was glad that i had an opportunity to visit the north.Today, the north of Iraq is very beautiful and the people are thankful for the help America has given them in order to return their land to them. The Kurdish people suffered so much, during the period I lived in Iraq. They desire the peace and happiness that they are experiencing now.

First Day at The University of Baghdad College of Medicine
I arrived in Baghdad in August 1976;One day in April Hashim my husband came home at noon time.I will never forget that day.I was standing in living room and he said to me you have been accepted to medical school and I got the test results back, you are pregnant. My life in Iraq changed. For the first time since arriving ,I felt like I was a part of the country.I was soo happy. Mom sent me my clothes for school. We wore uniforms,a white shirt, grey skirt and a navy jacket.I was very sick for the first three months of my pregnancy. I craved mcdonald hamburgers..of course there was not a Mac Donald's in Iraq. One night I was crying for shrimp.it was about three am an di had to have shrimp. My poor husband found a restaurant open that had shrimp an dbrought it home to me.he made sure I ate very one of them.Although Iraq did not have a Mac Donald's they did have very delicious hamburgers. They grilled the hamburgers over charcoal and placed the meat in warm triangle shaped bread that is called in Arabi some-moon,very delicious.

Angels Among Us Even In Iraq
I am the author of the book Angels Among Us Even In Iraq, found on Amazon.com;Barnes and Noble;Borders; The book is a fascinating story about love and survival. My readers realize there are Angels Among us even In Iraq.Iraq thru my eyes is a beautiful Iraq with wonderful people who love freedom and want to live their lives as a free people.Freedom is the greatest gift God can give us.Iraq now has a chance to make their own life,no one dictates any longer. My life in Iraq was difficult ,the fear that became a part of my life was so hard to release. It took about ten years before I could even write one word about my life in Iraq.National geographic established that a small village where my husband was born ,called Gurney was where Adam and eve began their life.Visitors can see a small apple tree that is protected by a wire fence, supposedly the apple tree wit the forbidden fruit.Iraq is our beginning ,we must protect our beginning so it will not become our end.A free Iraq is so important for a free world.
